Family Owned and Operated Since 2010
Lazy D Red Angus is a fifth and sixth generation farm and ranch located in western North Dakota. Family owned and operated, Lazy D Red Angus is run by John and Sara Berg, daughter, Emma, and son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Madison Berg. John and Sara have been farming and ranching in the northwest corner of North Dakota since 1996.
Initially, raising commercial black and red angus cattle we transitioned into registered red angus after purchasing our first few head in 2012. We admired the maternal ability and disposition of the red angus breed so much, that we slowly began phasing out our black angus with registered red angus. Cody added to the operation with his own herd of cattle in 2018. In September of 2021, Cody married his wife, Madison. Madison has quickly adjusted to the farm and ranch life and has since helped taken over Lazy D Red Angus’ media pages and advertising.
We strive to produce genetics that are bred for longevity and maternal traits without sacrificing performance and phenotype.
